Does droneSky cost anything?
No. droneSky is, and will remain, 100% free. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no premium tier, no subscription and no virtual currency that can be bought. Every feature — including both arcade mini-games, airspace map, weather, community, flight logs, achievements and daily check-in — is unlocked for everyone, everywhere.
How do I delete my account?
Open Me → Settings → Account and tap Delete account. A three-step confirmation will wipe your profile, flight logs, favourites, comments and likes from the app and request server-side erasure within 14 days. This action is permanent.
Why does droneSky request camera, microphone and photo permissions?
Camera & microphone are used only when you voluntarily record cockpit-view clips or voice memos to attach to a flight log. Photos permission is used to save exported logbook cards and to choose a profile picture. droneSky never accesses these sensors in the background.
Does droneSky collect my location or track me?
droneSky does not use the IDFA, does not run Bonjour discovery and does not enable the local-network permission. Location is only read on-demand when you open the airspace map or weather screen, and is never transmitted to third-party trackers.
Does droneSky work on iPad?
Yes. droneSky runs full-screen on iPad (Split View is disabled by design) and adapts its layout to the larger canvas. You can rotate freely between portrait and landscape.
I forgot my password — what now?
From the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password, enter your email and follow the verification flow. If you registered with Apple ID, manage the account inside Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security.
How do the in-app games save my score?
High scores are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded. Leaderboards shown inside the app are community sample data bundled with the app for demo purposes only.
Is droneSky an official CASA tool?
No. droneSky is a recreational companion. Always cross-check any airspace, weather or regulation data against CASA or AirShare before you fly.
Does droneSky use encryption (export compliance)?
droneSky only uses standard HTTPS/TLS provided by the operating system and does not ship any proprietary cryptography. It is therefore exempt under US export rules (ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption = false).
